ECOWITT WH52 3-in-1 Wireless Soil Sensor (Moisture, Temperature & EC)

SKU: WH52
Sale price$79.95

The ECOWITT WH52 goes beyond a basic moisture probe, measuring three things in one: soil moisture, soil temperature and electrical conductivity (EC). EC shows the level of dissolved salts and nutrients in the soil, so alongside knowing when to water, you'll get a clearer picture of when plants may need feeding, or whether fertiliser is building up.

Push it into a garden bed, lawn, greenhouse or large pot and it sends readings every 70 seconds. The WH52 has no screen or Wi-Fi of its own, so it needs an Ecowitt console or gateway to receive its data. Already have the ECOWITT WS3900 Weather Station? Just add the WH52 as an extra sensor and view your soil data in the Ecowitt app or on ecowitt.net, where you can also check history and set alerts. It shares the soil channels with the WH51, so the two sensors can be mixed in the same setup.

Features

  • 3-in-1 soil monitoring – moisture (0–100%), temperature (-40°C to 60°C) and EC (0–10,000 μS/cm)
  • Add-on for the ECOWITT WS3900 Weather Station – pairs as an extra sensor, no separate hub needed
  • Root-level temperature from a high-precision thermistor in close contact with the soil
  • EC measurement to track soluble salts and nutrients for smarter feeding
  • Updates every 70 seconds with live data, history and abnormal-reading alerts in the Ecowitt app or on ecowitt.net
  • Shares up to 16 soil channels with WH51/WH51L sensors (8 on HP350x, WN1900/WN1920)
  • IP66 weatherproof for outdoor use, with up to 100m wireless range in open space
  • Long battery life – at least 12 months from one AA battery (not included)
  • Uploads to Ecowitt, Weather Underground, WOW or a custom server
  • Also works with other Ecowitt gateways and consoles, including GW1100, GW1200, GW2000, GW3000, WS3800 and WS3910 (latest firmware may be required)

Tip: loosen the soil or make a pilot hole before inserting the probe. Pushing it into hard, rocky or compacted ground can damage the sensor, and this isn't covered by warranty.
