Leica Geovid Pro AB+

The pioneer rangefinder with new, innovative technology When every second counts, the Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ displays ballistics correction values up to maximum range. In less than 0.3 seconds, the on-board computer outputs the measured distance, plus – a brand-new feature – the probability of an exact hit. The Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ boasts absolute top values in the key areas for hunters and long-range shooters: first-class optics for greater detail, sharpness, contrast and color fidelity, high-precision rangefinding up to 2,950 meters, and the Applied Ballistics® Elite ballistics program pre-installed. Thanks to close cooperation with the ballistics software specialist Applied Ballistics®, the new Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ also features the world’s first Shot Probability Analysis. This function displays the hit probability based on ambient parameters. Available in the special color Flat Dark Earth, a sandy brown, the Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ thus provides all the prerequisites for an accurate and ethical shot.

•easy and rapid handling

One model for all hunts.

The Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ features absolute top values in three key areas. The light and sturdy magnesium housing protects: 1. excellent optics, 2. high-precision rangefinding and 3. a powerful ballistics program. Long-range shooters benefit from precise rangefinding at up to 2,950 meters. Hunters abroad appreciate the comprehensive ballistics program Applied Ballistics Elite® and the tracking assistant Leica ProTrack (LPTTM). Alpine hunters value the Geovid Pro AB+ for taking shooting angle into account, while bow hunters prize the precise measurements between 10 and 200 meters. No matter when and where the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ is put to work – its rugged, compact design and simple handling win users over.

Precise laser rangefinder.

The Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ is a binocular with laser rangefinder that combines over 30 years of optoelectronics expertise in a new, unique flagship of Leica long-range optics. This model unites highest-precision laser technology, top optical performance and extensive ballistics calculation programs. In rangefinding, the laser beam’s travel is timed – either as an individual measurement or continuously (scanning mode). The measurement result is displayed in under 0.3 seconds. Leica’s vast experience ensures accuracy and reliable operation even in very difficult conditions, such as rainy weather.

Ergonomic, compact, user-friendly.

The Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ is compact, grippy, and very easy to handle. The well-balanced housing is made of lightweight, rugged magnesium and features rubber armoring in Flat Dark Earth, a sand-brown color unique to the Geovid Pro AB+. Only a few, intuitive functions are assigned to each of the two control buttons. Aiming and measuring is possible in a single smooth motion, thanks to one-hand operation. The easy-to-read LED display is bright and clear under all conditions and automatically adjusts to ambient light.

Know, don’t guess – with integrated ballistics.

The Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ comes equipped with the powerful ballistics program Applied Ballistics Elite®. It also features sensors for angle, air pressure, and temperature, whose measured values are included when determining the point of impact. External ballistics data, taking the crosswind into account, can be imported from a Kestrel® device via Bluetooth® or entered manually in the Leica Ballistic App – for ultimate precision in point-of-impact correction. The Leica Geovid Pro models include ambient parameters such as air pressure, temperature, and angle. With Applied Ballistics® on board, the Leica Geovid Pro models precisely calculate the linear range, the equivalent horizontal range, as well as the correction values for holdover, units, and clicks.

Reliable navigation.

A wireless connection to the Leica Ballistics App makes it possible to use the specially-developed tracking system: Leica ProTrack (LPTTM). With this system and the Geovid, hunters can locate, mark, and find any point in the terrain. Compass, range, and other parameters are used to display this point on the smartphone. Three options are available: 1. The in-app GPS uses a compass to navigate to the destination. 2. A destination marker is set via Google Maps to find that spot in the terrain. 3. The destination data and marker points of the Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ are synchronized with the BaseMap® app and automatically used for navigation.

Shot Probability Analysis.

With the Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+, Shot Probability Analysis technology has been integrated in laser-rangefinder binoculars for the very first time. An exclusive result of the cooperation between Leica Sport Optics and the leading manufacturer of ballistics software: Applied Ballistics®. This involves calculating the probability of actually hitting the desired target point. The reliability of the four main parameters – distance, wind speed, rifle precision, muzzle velocity of the bullet – are evaluated. The stored and already adjusted trajectory of the bullet is thus once again compared with uncertainty factors and the shooter is supported in making a safe decision.

Outstanding optics.

The Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+ has outstanding, “best in class” optics – the prerequisite for an ethical shot. This is achieved through excellent workmanship, superior materials, and extremely efficient reduction of stray light and reflections. The Geovid uses the exclusive Perger-Porro prisms developed by Leica, with a special coating on the prism surfaces. By delivering rich detail, sharpness, contrast, and color fidelity, the optics guarantee unique observation moments and reliable identification of game. The higher 10x magnification is suitable for very long shots and, in combination with the wide field of view, offers maximum safety into the early twilight hours.
